  • Instant lemon drink mix
  • Instant unsweetened iced tea powder
  • Granulated sugar
  • Ground cinnamon
  • Ground cloves
  • Ground ginger
  • Optional: vanilla sugar or vanilla powder

  • Optional: ground allspice

  • Add the orange drink mix, lemon drink mix, instant tea, and granulated sugar to a large mixing bowl.
  • Sprinkle in ground cinnamon, ground cloves, and ground ginger.
  • Whisk thoroughly until the color is uniform and no spice pockets remain, breaking up any clumps.
  • Transfer the mix to clean, dry jars with tight-fitting lids and label with the date and mixing directions.
  • To serve, stir 2 to 3 teaspoons of mix into 8 ounces of hot water and adjust to taste.

Notes

Sift spices for a smoother blend. Adjust sweetness by increasing or decreasing sugar to taste. For gifting, include a tag that says “2–3 teaspoons per 8 oz hot water.” Store in an airtight container in a cool, dark place and use within 6–9 months. For variations, try adding cardamom or allspice, swap some sugar for honey crystals, or make a low-sugar version with suitable substitutes. Use decaf instant tea if desired. For iced, dissolve in a splash of hot water, then add cold water and ice.
