Total Time 5 minutes
Servings 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt (2% or whole milk for best texture; use nonfat if you prefer)
  • 2–3 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1–2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice (brightens the flavor)
  • Pinch of fine sea salt (enhances sweetness)
  • Optional add-ins: 1–2 tablespoons cream cheese for extra richness, a pinch of cinnamon, or a little lemon zest
  • To serve: Fresh fruit like strawberries, blueberries, sliced apples, pears, grapes, pineapple, or melon

Instructions

  • Prep the bowl: Add the Greek yogurt to a medium mixing bowl. If you’re using cream cheese, soften it first and whisk it with the yogurt until smooth.
  • Sweeten: Whisk in the honey or maple syrup. Start with 2 tablespoons and taste. Add more if you like it sweeter.
  • Flavor it: Stir in the vanilla extract, lemon juice, and a small pinch of sea salt. The salt won’t make it salty—it just makes the flavors pop.
  • Adjust: Taste and tweak. Add another squeeze of lemon for brightness, a touch more sweetener, or a pinch of cinnamon if you want a cozy note.
  • Serve: Transfer to a serving bowl and set it out with a platter of fruit. If you have time, chill it for 15–20 minutes for an even thicker texture.
